Sandy, an inexperienced eagle slipped from the precarious nest earlier this week. The bird lost its footing while perched in a towering tree and hit the forest floor. A nearby live webcam was rolling and now streams nonstop as officials and locals hunt for the eaglet.
Park rangers are thoroughly scanning the area for possible signs injury. The camera has been pulling thousands of viewers from across the region. It will stay online until the eaglet is found or officially declared missing.
