Clare Wright appeared at public events, as an author and historian, recognized for The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka (2013), offering women’s perspectives on the Eureka Rebellion. She has also written and presented history programs for ABC, including Utopia Girls and The War That Changed Us. With a PhD from Melbourne, she is a professor at La Trobe University, where she leads public history initiatives and has served on the National Museum of Australia Council since 2022. In 2020 she received the Medal of the Order of Australia. for her services to literature and historical research.
