Latest News About Minister Husic condemns Labour’s handling of Gaza recognition proposal

Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry Minister, criticised Labour’s inner culture after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza was rejected.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese allegedly described his statement at a conference as incompetent.

Husic responded by saying he was unbothered by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a cold chamber, I couldn't care less."

The dispute followed unsuccessful tries to push the party to formally recognise events in Gaza as genocide.

Internal papers and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over strategy and leadership.
