A former marriage equality activist who once lead South Australia’s LGBTQIA+ equality movement has been elected to parliament for One Nation

His record includes activism for LGBTQIA+ rights and prior association with Labor and the Sex Party. In May 2026 he said he is openly gay and has an Indonesian Muslim partner. The result helped boost One Nation in South Australia as leader Cory Bernardi secured a Legislative Council position.
