Sunderland, recently beaten by Liverpool, now appears as a likely loan option for Koumas. The young joined Sunderland’s preseason setup this week but may face tough competition for playing time from other club players. Iraola began his role on July 24, 2026, with Koumas one of several academy graduates pushing for a larger involvement in the first team.
