It was a night to forget for Melbourne Victory, beaten 3-0 by Kingborough Lions in the Australia Cup at the Showgrounds in Hobart. Nearly 3,000 supporters turned up and watched Victory get taken apart, the loss ending Victory's cup campaign on the spot. Melbourne City meanwhile had a far simpler night, beating Weston Bears 3-0. Both teams now head into the cup's last 16. Victory will look to reset quickly with a league game right around the corner.
