Mental Health Awareness Week - Mental Health Foundation
This Mental Health Awareness Week we’re asking people to join us in taking action to support good mental health.
www.mentalhealth.org.ukHere are the latest updates on Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) for 2026.
The UK Mental Health Foundation and partner charities run MHAW from 11 to 17 May 2026. The theme is “Every Action Counts,” encouraging small, practical steps to support mental health each day. This continues a long-standing annual focus to reduce stigma and promote wellbeing across communities, workplaces, schools, and families.[1][3]
Mind and other organizations are promoting participation throughout MHAW 2026, with emphasis on events, pledges, and campaigns that make mental health support more accessible. Highlights include volunteering, fundraising activities, and sharing personal stories to build understanding and reduce isolation during the week (May 11–17).[3][5]
In public and workplace settings, government and health bodies have coordinated resources for employers to address stress and wellbeing during MHAW, including free online learning modules and workplace initiatives aligned with the week’s aims. This complements broader occupational mental health campaigns that span May and beyond.[7][1]
If you’re in the U.S. or other regions, there are complementary awareness efforts and local events tied to mental health topics during May, but the primary, widely publicized MHAW activities for 2026 center on the UK campaign and its “Every Action Counts” message.[5][3]
