A 7.4 tremor shook Mexico’s Pacific coast just before 6 a.m. on Friday.
A extensive tsunami alert was released for coastal strips along Mexico and Guatemala shortly thereafter.
The ground kept jumping, shaking towns further north into Guatemala and El Salvador also.
Just after 4 a.m., a 7.3 quake trembled the same area.
No reports of injury or collapsed buildings came in after the warnings.
