Parramatta Eels are now nearer to signing Canterbury Bulldogs centre centre Maika Luai subsequent to the collapse of Volkan Erdengiz contract negotiations. The club included Luai in its team list as the Tigers deal with team rifts caused by his move. Sources claim a $1.2 million offer is available, intended to bring Luai home in a homecoming contract. The move could see Luai go back to his first NRL club, while the Bulldogs plan to rebuild after the loss of a vital playmaker.
