Richard Harden appeared for Somerset from 1985 to 1998, and for Yorkshire (1999-2000), including time in NZ. He later moved to New Zealand, and operates a financial advisory business. his wife is Rachel Reese, whom he backed in the Nelson mayoral race, and they wed in 2017; they have three children from previous relationships.
