The 2026 World Club Challenge will take place on Thursday, 19th February, featuring Hull KR against Brisbane Broncos at Hull FC’s MKM Stadium. This will be the first time the World Club Challenge is hosted in Hull.
Hull KR and Brisbane Broncos will compete to be crowned the world’s best Rugby League club following their respective wins in the Super League and NRL. The match venue was chosen to maximize fan attendance, with the 25,000-capacity MKM Stadium preferred over Hull KR’s Craven Park, which holds just over 11,000 spectators.
After securing the Super League Trophy at Old Trafford, Hull KR will now have the chance to win international silverware following their remarkable 2025 season. This fixture also marks the first time in 40 years that Hull KR will face Australian opposition.
“With offers from around the world to host the game, we are delighted to bring the Betfred World Club Challenge home to Hull, allowing supporters, not just from the city but the whole region and beyond, the opportunity to see the world’s two best Rugby League sides go head-to-head.”
Hull KR’s February will be packed with action, starting with this World Club Challenge match, a Round One title defence in the Super League, and a trip to Las Vegas for the ‘Battle of Yorkshire’ shortly after.
