Inverness Prepares for Remembrance Sunday Tribute

Communities across the Inverness area are set to honor those who have died in conflicts during Remembrance events this weekend. Hundreds are expected to attend the city’s main annual parade and service at the Cavell Gardens war memorial.

People will also gather at war memorials in surrounding towns and villages to solemnly remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Sunday's Parade Details

The parade in Inverness will begin at 2:20 pm on Huntly Street. Participants include members of the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS), veterans, cadet organizations, young people, politicians, and civic leaders. This year, the parade will also feature motorcyclists from the Highland Riders’ Branch of the RBLS.

The procession will cross the River Ness and reach the war memorial, where the Remembrance service will start at 3 pm. The service will feature a two-minute silence, wreath-laying, and readings by pupils of Charleston Academy.
