With the ATP season nearing its conclusion, only one spot remains open for the year-end Finals in Turin. The competition for that place has come down to Felix Auger-Aliassime and Lorenzo Musetti, who are separated by just 160 points.
Seven of the eight participants for the 2025 ATP Finals have already been confirmed, leaving one vacant slot. As the regular season enters its last 11 days, the focus turns to this battle that could define the year’s closing narrative alongside the race for the world number one ranking.
Currently, Auger-Aliassime sits eighth in the Race to Turin with 3845 points, followed closely by Musetti in ninth on 3685 points. Both players are scheduled to compete in their final events of the regular season this week — Musetti in Athens and Auger-Aliassime in Metz.
Auger-Aliassime has withdrawn from the Moselle Open, citing a left knee injury. This decision opens the door slightly wider for Musetti, who is preparing to play in the inaugural Hellenic Championship, a new ATP 250 tournament in Greece.
"The arithmetic here is slightly counterintuitive."
The situation could still shift depending on performance, but the final qualification is set to be decided within days.
A single ATP Finals berth remains open as Musetti and Auger-Aliassime race neck and neck, separated by just 160 points in the season’s closing stretch.
