Glenn Close expressed her desire to avoid repeating herself in her roles, saying, “I don't want to repeat myself because I think I'd be really bored.” Despite many iconic women participating in Ryan Murphy projects, Close had not worked with him until now. This changed with Hulu’s All’s Fair.
Close plays Dina, a powerful lawyer at an all-female firm that features Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Naomi Watts, and others. Initially, she was intimidated but grew to enjoy the project once she understood its tone.
“I was intimidated until I started to understand the tone. And once I understood the tone, then it became really fun.”
She highlighted the dynamic cast, saying, “To bring all that energy...and all that experience together is bound to create something really unique.” The experience also forged lasting friendships.
“This group of women, they’ll be my friends for the rest of my life.”
Close stays motivated by seeking fresh challenges. She said, “I’m basically up for anything as long as it represents a new exploration.” She will soon appear in Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which coincides with the release of All’s Fair.
“I got two Ryans in the same week. It was like, what?”

Many from Close’s generation recall their first Glenn Close movie as 101 Dalmatians. One viewer shared, “I was a 12-year-old and my father had rented Fatal Attraction, and I watched it.”
