Acting legend Glenn Close has shared why it took her some time to fully understand Ryan Murphy's new series All’s Fair. At 78, the eight-time Academy Award nominee and Fatal Attraction star is exploring fresh territory in television drama.
Close stars as Dina Standish, the formidable matriarch of the new divorce law firm featured in All’s Fair, streaming on Disney+. The show centers on a group of women who leave a male-dominated law practice to start their own firm.
"It took a little while for me to get the show," Close told PinkNews and other media ahead of the release.
Though Close is renowned for her film and theater work, this is one of her first collaborations with Ryan Murphy, known for shows like American Horror Story.
All’s Fair was praised upon the release of its trailer for its sharp and edgy tone, described as both “insane” and “c***y.” The series promises a bold look at female empowerment in the legal world.
"A team of female divorce attorneys leave a male-dominated firm to open their own powerhouse practice," reads the official synopsis.
The show follows a group of women lawyers challenging industry norms, with Close leading the pack as a commanding figure at the center of the story.
