Leeds Bus Diversions and Roadworks Update
Motorists in Leeds will experience disruptions due to ongoing roadworks affecting several key routes.
A64 Flyover and Surrounding Areas
Roadworks on the A64 flyover, New York Road, and Marsh Lane slip road will take place from Monday, November 3, 7pm to 6am. During this time:
- Service 7 (THE) heading to Leeds Bus Station will divert via Marsh Lane and York Street.
- Service 7 towards Harrogate will divert via St Peter’s Street, Duke Street, and Marsh Lane.
- The Victoria L bus stop on Vicar Lane will be skipped.
Potternewton Lane Closure
Potternewton Lane in Potternewton will be closed for roadworks from Monday, November 3 to Tuesday, November 18, between 9:30am and 3:30pm daily. First Bus number 7 will divert both ways via Scott Hall Road and Stainbeck Lane.
Station Road Bridge and Other Closures
Continuous closures and diversions remain due to the demolition and reconstruction of Station Road bridge in Cross Gates.
- The Farsley ring road, between Dawsons Corner roundabout and Rodley roundabout, will be closed from 8pm to 5am on November 3 and 4.
- Disruptions around Dawsons Corner and Stanningley Bypass continue until May 2026.
- The Wide Lane slip road closure in Morley has been extended by 12 weeks, now lasting until Sunday, November 30, affecting services 65, 200, and 201.
Reopened and Ending Closures
There is positive news as Station Road in Kippax has reopened after roadworks. Additionally, the closure on Branch Road, Lower Wortley, is scheduled to end on Friday, November 7.
"The closure of Wide Lane slip road, Morley, extended by a further 12 weeks, will remain in place until Sunday, November 30."
