A new night train service is proposed to link Switzerland, Denmark, and Sweden directly, covering approximately 1,400 kilometers. The project awaits approval from the Swiss Parliament and would start operations mid-April 2026.
“Making climate-friendly travel to Northern Europe even more accessible,” stated a Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) spokesperson.
It also “meets the growing demand for sustainable, cross-border mobility.”
Tickets for the EuroNight service are expected to go on sale starting 4 November.
Summary: The new EuroNight night train will offer a sustainable and convenient three-times-weekly direct connection between Switzerland and Sweden, enhancing eco-friendly travel options across Northern Europe.
