Flinders Port Holdings (FPH) is celebrating maritime trade with a specially designed float at the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, emphasizing its role in bringing holiday cheer to South Australians.
Maritime trade is a central theme for FPH's float in this year's pageant, held on Saturday, 8 November, starting at 9:30am with the traditional golden whistle signal. Since 1933, this event has marked the official beginning of the Christmas season in South Australia, attracting thousands of spectators along the city streets.
“We are thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,”
“Our float celebrates the vital role maritime trade plays in bringing festive joy, and presents, to South Australians each year.”
“It is the first custom-built float in five years, featuring a replica of one of our Pilot boats, a crew of straddle carriers, containers, and FPH elves checking off Christmas gifts.”
“The blue fabric ruffle adds the perfect finishing touch, creating the illusion of the Pilot Boat gliding through water.”
The float was officially launched at Outer Harbor, with some FPH elves participating in the festivities.
