The Raiders suffered another setback on Thursday night, losing 10-7 to the Broncos while their quarterback Geno Smith sustained an injury.
Smith finished the game with 143 passing yards and one interception. He was hurt on the first play of the fourth quarter while attempting to evade Denver linebacker Nik Bonitto. Bonitto made contact with Smith's right knee, causing him to stumble awkwardly before falling to the ground under Malcolm Roach.
Smith was briefly replaced by Kenny Pickett but returned before being ruled questionable to continue due to a left quad issue.
The offense struggled significantly, managing only 188 total yards. This defeat dropped the Raiders to a 2-7 record for the season.
"It was a brutal night for the Raiders' offense," said the coach.
