Alan Carr, known for his role on the popular BBC One gameshow Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, is set to gain even more exposure. The 49-year-old comedian has reportedly been "poached" by the BBC for a fresh prime-time quiz show featuring celebrity guests.
According to The Sun, Alan was recently flown to a luxury European city to film a pilot for the new series. This move comes amid speculation about a new TV deal for Carr, eight years after his Channel 4 talk show, Chatty Man, ended.
The potential deal positions Alan Carr in direct competition with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who has extended his contract to continue hosting The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
"Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
Alan Carr is swiftly expanding his television presence, moving from ITV comedy to hosting a new BBC quiz show with celebrity guests.
