By Ayana Birbayeva, ALMATY – Kazakhstan is implementing over 40 environmental projects in the Aral Sea basin.
A meeting of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) was held on Oct. 10 in Astana, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev.
The international community expects not only declarations but also actions to preserve the natural resources of the Aral Sea.
High-level representatives from Central Asian countries attended the meeting.
