The long-awaited trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is set to arrive soon. This highly anticipated entry kicks off the conclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6, which began this summer with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The current phase is expected to conclude by 2027 with two new Avengers films.
Collider has confirmed that the Avengers: Doomsday trailer will premiere on December 19, shown before the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Principal photography for this Phase 6 film wrapped on September 19, 2025. Anthony and Joe Russo directed this major team-up movie, marking a significant chapter in the MCU.
Marvel Studios surprised fans with a live-stream unveiling most of the cast. A key highlight is the return of several actors from the Fox-Marvel X-Men era:
“The ensemble will mark the return of Robert Downey Jr. in the MCU timeline, but with a twist, as he is set to bring the iconic Victor von Doom, a.k.a. Doom, to life in Marvel Studios' franchise.”
The mutants' reunion alongside classic Avengers promises an exciting blend of characters for the 2026 installment.
This new Avengers chapter reunites iconic heroes and villains, blending MCU legends and fan favorites, setting the stage for an epic conclusion to Phase 6.
