The University of Notre Dame announced on Monday, November 3, that legendary rock band AC/DC will perform a concert at the campus stadium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m., with a purchase limit of four per person and per credit card.
Brothers Malcolm and Angus Young founded AC/DC in Sydney, Australia, in 1973, according to Classic Rock History. The band became internationally acclaimed for blending blues-rock and hard rock, producing classic albums such as 1976’s Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, 1979’s Highway to Hell, 1980’s Back in Black, and 1981’s For Those About to Rock (We Salute You).
Among AC/DC’s most recognized tracks are "You Shook Me All Night Long," "Who Made Who," "Hells Bells," and "Thunderstruck."
The concert’s opening act will be The Pretty Reckless, led by Taylor Momsen, best known for her role in Gossip Girl. The band has achieved eight No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, including the recent track "For I Am Death" from November rankings.
Their 2021 album Death by Rock and Roll produced three consecutive No. 1 singles: "Death by Rock and Roll," "And So It Went," and "Only Love Can Save Me Now."
