The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2025 will take place from November 7 to 9. Twelve teams, arranged into four groups, will compete for the title over these three days.
The Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament resumed in 2024 after a hiatus since 2017. Cricket in Hong Kong dates back to the 19th century, with the first recorded match played in 1842. The event was initially created to provide local players, who had limited opportunities against top international opponents, a chance to compete alongside world-class stars.
The tournament was held annually from 1993 to 1997 and again from 2001 to 2012. However, the rise of franchise T20 leagues led to its decline. The competition boasts appearances by cricket legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, and Shane Warne.
"The 'Super Sixes' tournament has unique rules that challenge both individual skill and team strategy."
The 12 teams are split into four groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. Winners of the quarterfinals will move on to the semifinals, while the losing teams compete in the Plate semifinals. Teams finishing last in their groups will contest the Bowl competition.
