Vogue Williams revealed on her podcast that she is having trouble with her son’s maths homework, a situation many parents will recognize. She is mother to Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and Otto, three, and now spends evenings relearning schoolwork alongside her children.
Discussing her son's homework on the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast with co-host Joanne McNally, Vogue admitted:
"I'm back at school though because of the kids. So I'm like relearning with them for their homework. I can do Gigi's homework alright. It's Theodore's I'm struggling with a bit. I'm not even joking."
This admission resonated with many parents who shared similar experiences.
While year one maths seems straightforward, explaining it at the kitchen table is more complex than expected. The terminology sounds unfamiliar, and what seemed simple decades ago now requires several different methods to teach.
Joanne McNally expressed sympathy, recalling a meme about parental struggles with maths homework.
"We don't talk enough about the trauma of a parent sitting with their child trying to teach them maths," she said.
Vogue Williams highlights the common modern parenting challenge of navigating and relearning schoolwork, especially maths, alongside young children.
