Cloud Gaming Expansion from Beta to Full Release
Sony initially introduced cloud gaming support a year ago in beta, but only for a limited set of titles. The latest major update now allows playing hundreds of games streamed directly without connecting to a PS5 or PS5 Pro, largely free of lag based on my experience.
Access to a Vast Library
With this update, the cloud gaming feature expanded greatly, incorporating streaming of a large portion of your purchased games. Sony claims more than a thousand titles are supported, all accessible in a new section called "Your Library." Selecting a game loads it for play after a short wait.
A Rich Collection Available Immediately
As a games and tech writer with an extensive PS5 and classic games collection, I found it hard to spot any missing titles. Over 100 games from my owned library were instantly available after updating and enabling the new option, including many I had forgotten about over the years.
