Thursday evening, a pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by an SUV that ran a red light on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago.
The accident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 3600 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a light-colored SUV driven by a 26-year-old woman ran a red light and hit the pedestrian while she was crossing the street.
The pedestrian’s identity has not been disclosed. Emergency responders transported her to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.
