Criteria Set for Critically Important Defence Enterprises
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has approved new criteria for identifying critically important defence enterprises and has opened the application process for companies seeking this status. Applications can be submitted by email to [email protected].
Existing Status Remains Valid
Enterprises that already hold the status of critically important defence enterprises and whose validity period has not expired do not need to reapply or update their documentation.
Conditions for Critically Important Status
- More than 50% of an enterprise’s total output consists of defence-related products.
- The enterprise either fulfils or participates in state defence contracts.
- Companies that receive government grants under the technology and innovation development programme also qualify.
- Enterprises that manage and coordinate the work of state-owned defence plants.
Additional Criteria for Eligibility
Companies not included in the above categories may gain critically important status if they meet at least three of several specified criteria. Those meeting at least two criteria may be designated as critically important for the economy and public life during wartime.
