Men’s Soccer Clinches Patriot League Tournament Berth after 1-0 Win at Navy - Bucknell University Athletics

Men’s Soccer Secures Patriot League Tournament Spot with 1-0 Win at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Drew Roskos scored his seventh goal of the season, leading the Patriot League, after connecting with an assist from goalkeeper Freddie Lapworth. The Bucknell men’s soccer team claimed a 1-0 victory over Navy on Friday evening at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

The win improved Bucknell’s record to 9-3-4 overall and 4-2-2 in league play, elevating the team into third place in the Patriot League standings. Despite not securing the additional results needed for a top-four seed and home advantage in the quarterfinals, Bucknell’s 14 points guarantee a postseason berth.

“We earned a big win on the road and maintained control over our path to the No. 3 seed,” said the Bucknell coaching staff.

With one regular-season match left, the Bison are positioned to strengthen their standing as they head into the tournament.
