Metz Adds Breakfast Smoothies to Menu

Students now have a refreshing new breakfast choice: smoothies are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the dining hall. The initiative comes from Metz Culinary Management’s effort to enhance dining experiences.

Chef’s Perspective

“We’ve been exploring new ways to enhance our breakfast offerings, and smoothies have been a fun addition,” said Campus Executive Chef Adam Harvey.

Harvey explained that the current schedule is designed to assess student interest, adding that feedback so far has been very positive. Metz currently provides two smoothie varieties and rotates flavors frequently to maintain variety. Recent blends have included strawberry, banana, mango, dragon fruit, and pineapple.

Student Reactions

Many students expressed enthusiasm about the new addition. Senior Thomas Smith, a frequent breakfast visitor, praised the balance of flavors.

“It’s actually really good — a good balance of banana and strawberry. It adds a sparkle to my morning when I choose to have it,” Smith said.

Senior Lucy Treene mentioned that the updated breakfast menu encouraged her to attend breakfast more often this year.

“This year what made me start coming to the dining hall was the coffee and the berries,” Treene said. “The coffee is so great, and they got new mugs. There’s nothing better than sitting down with a mug of coffee in the dining hall.”

Summary

Metz’s introduction of breakfast smoothies adds fresh variety and has already earned enthusiastic feedback from both staff and students.

Author’s Summary: A refreshing new choice, Metz’s breakfast smoothies aim to elevate morning dining, proving popular with students and staff alike while diversifying the menu.
