Footy legend Brendan Fevola disclosed that he was the victim of a strange home invasion over the weekend. He feared that he and his family might be targeted for a robbery.
Fevola was getting ready to take his youngest daughter, Tobi, rollerskating when the incident occurred. As they were leaving, he turned around and was stunned to see an elderly lady and her dog standing in his hallway.
“Oh my god, I’ve had an intruder,” the former Carlton and Brisbane star told the Fifi, Fev and Nick show.
Fevola described how this unexpected visitor walked into his home with her dog, which immediately entered the house. Initially, his instincts raised alarm bells:
“I turn around and see this old lady with a dog walking into our house with a dog and the dog just comes in and I go: ‘Hello?’”
The former player worried that the woman might have been scoping out the house, especially since it was Halloween weekend.
“I was like: ‘Is this person scoping my house out? Get old people to come into my house and see what you’ve got and later on you get robbed.’ I was like: ‘Is this a set-up?’”
Brendan Fevola’s unsettling encounter with an uninvited elderly woman at his home sparked fears of a robbery, revealing a bizarre and unexpected episode in his family life.
