Pitt women’s soccer concluded a challenging season by stunning No. 1 Notre Dame at Ambrose Urbanic Field last week. The decisive moment came in the 85th minute when junior defender Mya Archibald scored a clean header from a late corner kick by senior forward Margaret Wilde, securing the win for the Panthers.
Notre Dame entered the game needing only a win or draw to claim the ACC regular-season title, with the trophy literally ready at Ambrose Urbanic Field. Despite this, Pitt played with determination, refusing to let the Irish celebrate on their home field.
