Week 5 of the EuroLeague Women kept three teams unbeaten, led by Fenerbahçe’s commanding victory. The much-anticipated rematch with Valencia turned one-sided as Fenerbahçe surged to a 71–49 win, maintaining their flawless record.
“Julie Allemand approached a triple-double, with 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.”
Kayla McBride contributed a game-high 16 points, sinking four three-pointers. Despite the defeat, Valencia had already secured a second-round berth, so the loss was more a blow to pride than position.
Galatasaray also stayed perfect, though with difficulty. Carolo mounted a strong second-quarter push, forcing Galatasaray to fight until the end for a 77–73 victory.
“A Teja Oblak jumper with over a minute remaining proved to be the game-winning bucket.”
Kamiah Smalls again led her team, delivering 15 points on 7-for-8 shooting, while Dorka Juhász supported with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Girona, the third undefeated team, survived a tight contest with defending champion Praha, securing an 83–78 win. The outcome was sealed by late free throws and a decisive jumper.
“Justē Jocytē’s four late points capped her game-high 23-point night, highlighted by four threes and a perfect 7-for-7 at the line.”
Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Girona stayed unbeaten in Week 5, each showcasing resilience and star-driven performances to remain at the top of the EuroLeague Women standings.
