Entertainment Writer Celia got a first look inside the Big Brother house before the housemates moved in — here's what it's really like.
When I first stepped foot into the Big Brother AU house at Dreamworld, I was hit with a wave of awe. The colours, the lights, the vibes — something about it felt dramatic, yet fun and inviting. Being inside was a rush of excitement, similar to trying a new food you instantly love and can't stop craving.
As New Idea‘s Entertainment Writer, I had the chance to fly from Sydney to the Gold Coast to be among the first to see the Big Brother house before the contestants arrived. During their 2026 Upfront event on a warm spring evening, guests were welcomed by show host Mel Tracina, who hinted at an exciting season ahead.
Shortly after, we were invited inside the house and allowed to explore freely — something I still find hard to believe.
Mel Tracina teased, "An exciting season was upon us."
Author’s summary: The Big Brother house blends dramatic flair with comfort and extensive facilities, creating an exhilarating environment that excites both guests and viewers alike.
