New 2026 Biomethane Scheme
A new scheme to provide capital grants for building anaerobic digestion plants has been confirmed for 2026.
The Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment (DCEE) will introduce the scheme, which will run until 2030 and share in a €500m climate fund.
The scheme will contribute towards the cost of building new anaerobic digestion plants.
