Hollywood icon Sally Kirkland, aged 84, is currently in hospice care following a series of serious health challenges over the past year.
Kirkland's representative, Michael Greene, informed the Daily Mail that the actress has been diagnosed with dementia during the last year and is now receiving hospice care at a Palm Springs hospital.
A GoFundMe campaign created for Kirkland explains that she suffered multiple fractures, including four bones in her neck, her right wrist, and left hip. While recovering, she developed two separate life-threatening infections.

The combined effect of these injuries and infections led to extended hospital stays and rehabilitation that exceeded what insurance covers.
Representatives shared that Michael Greene is traveling from JFK airport to be with Kirkland, saying,
"She will not go until I’m holding her hand."
Her close friend and former student, Cody Galloway, is currently by her side.
The GoFundMe states that Kirkland is now "resting comfortably" at the hospice facility.
