Delivery at Royal Lodge amid claims Andrew is 'ranting to himself'
The former Duke of York, 65, has been staying at the royal residence since losing his royal titles last month due to his association with the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, seem to be preparing for a quiet evening after a delivery of champagne was seen at Windsor's Royal Lodge.
Andrew has strongly denied the allegations against him. King Charles officially removed his brother's prince title and HRH status by issuing a rare Letters Patent on Thursday, making Andrew a commoner. He is also being moved from Royal Lodge, their 30-room home in Windsor, to a property on the Sandringham estate when possible.
Although the exact date of Andrew’s departure is unknown, he appears to be enjoying his last days at the residence. On Saturday, several boxes of Devaux Champagne were unloaded from a Majestic Wines van outside the Grade II-listed mansion and carried inside.
Despite living there for over 20 years, Andrew and Sarah have reportedly been spending much time apart—sleeping at opposite ends of the house and only meeting for meals to talk. A source close to them revealed:
“The former duke has been ranting to himself and rarely goes out.”
“Fergie is said to have taken refuge at a secret bar behind the mansion.”
They seem to be living largely separate lives within the same home as the transition away from Royal Lodge continues.
