Jen Affleck Reveals Rift with Whitney Leavitt After DWTS Exit
Before the premiere of the third season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Jen Affleck opened up about her strained relationship with co-star Whitney Leavitt. Though both appeared on the latest season of Dancing With the Stars, it seems their off-screen tension still lingers.
“There is no relationship,”
Jen told E! after her elimination from the reality competition. She explained that certain events caused a distance between them:
“Unfortunately, some things happened, so we’ve just taken a step back.”
Jen, who was voted off during the Halloween episode on October 28, shared that she wanted to keep their issues separate from the show:
“Because being on Dancing With the Stars was a dream of both of ours, I just wanted to make that experience only positive and leave the drama for our other show.”
Still, she admitted that maintaining that boundary wasn’t always easy.
“Unfortunately, there were moments where it was hard for it not to bleed into Dancing With the Stars.”
Despite the current discord, Jen expressed goodwill toward Whitney, who remains in the competition.
“I’m happy for her and it’s a dream for her to be there, too. And honestly, even though we’re not on good terms, I do hope she makes it far.”
