Official Opening of New 96-Bed Block at UHL
The Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD, has officially opened a new 96-bed block at University Hospital Limerick.
This 6,700 square-metre development, costing €105m, addresses bed capacity deficits in the Mid-West, as highlighted in HIQA's review of urgent and emergency care.
- 96 new inpatient beds, configured in four storeys of 24 en-suite single rooms
- Brings the hospital's inpatient bed capacity to 650
