Statewide center at USF launches Florida’s first-of-its-kind interactive dashboard addressing behavioral health workforce shortage

Statewide Center at USF Launches Innovative Dashboard

The Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce (FCBHW) at the University of South Florida has launched the state's first interactive dashboard to address the behavioral health workforce shortage.

This dashboard projects the supply and demand of behavioral health workforce through 2035, providing valuable insights for policymakers, providers, educators, and advocates to tackle the critical shortage of behavioral health professionals in Florida.

“Florida now has a way to see not just where the workforce stands today, but where it’s headed,”

said Julie Serovich, dean of the USF College of Behavioral and Community Sciences. The launch is timely, ahead of Florida Behavioral Health Day on Oct. 15, which highlights the need to close access gaps and prepare the state's workforce for the future.
