The festival, held at the Utah State Fairpark, was in its second day and featured headliners such as Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, and Noah Kahan.

Attendees were notified via the festival's mobile app to pause the shows, and organizers later announced on social media that everyone needed to leave the venue and take shelter.

“From the bathrooms, to the tents... now we’re in this random building," said Alan Scott from Idaho. "Luckily these nice people let us in.

People without nearby cars took shelter in buses and nearby businesses.
