Sikorsky has introduced a new Black Hawk prototype, transforming the 50-year-old design into an autonomous aircraft.
The U-Hawk, as it's called, retains the familiar size, shape, rotors, and green paint job of the original, but with a new front end and no pilots, giving it a sci-fi feel.
The new design allows for an ATV-sized vehicle to be driven onboard via a built-in ramp.
Sikorsky's goal is for the U-Hawk to accompany manned missions in the air, marking a significant shift in the Army's aerial capabilities.
