IUCN Members have adopted a new 20-year Strategic Vision and four-year Programme to guide the Union's work up to 2030.
"The world is shifting beneath our feet with startling speed. Biodiversity loss has not been halted, and is converging with climate change, pollution, and inequality in ways never experienced before," said H.E. IUCN President Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak.
Despite the challenges, President Al Mubarak expressed optimism, citing IUCN's capacity, knowledge, and collective will to address these issues. The Union aims to unite its members behind the purpose of accelerating nature's recovery, as "conservation works and nature can recover."
The IUCN is the world's largest and most diverse environmental network, providing tools, publications, and resources to support its mission.
