Storm Aftermath in Mother Lode
Overnight rainfall has left the Mother Lode with slick roads and debris. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has reported several incidents, including a solo vehicle crash on Highway 26 near Olive Orchard Drive in Valley Springs at 5:40 am, with no injuries but partial blocking of the highway.
- A vehicle crashed into a ditch on Highway 49 in Calaveras County near the New Melones bridge before 5 am, prompting an ambulance dispatch.
- A vehicle is stuck in the snow 20 feet off Highway 4 between Arnold and Bear Valley, near Skyline Drive.
A minor power outage is affecting a handful of customers near Copperopolis, in the area of Oak Creek Drive, with full restoration expected by 2 pm.
