Music Shop Closes Doors After School Bus Crash

A local music shop has closed its doors after suffering extensive damage due to a school bus crash in May.

In the early hours of May 25, a small school bus crashed into the side of Yale’s Music Shop, leaving a gaping hole in the building.

The driver left the scene with non-life-threatening injuries, but the shop was left in disarray and has remained closed since the crash.

During clean-up efforts, asbestos was found among the debris, making products such as books, music, acoustic instruments, and other accessories unsafe due to asbestos contamination.

The Yale Family announced the permanent closure of the store in a Facebook post.

However, the family is starting an instrument restoration business to continue serving the community and sharing their love of music.
