Woman Accused of Delivering Fetus in a Cooler to Man's House
A Virginia woman, Makayla Haedt, 29, is accused of putting her miscarried fetus in a cooler and delivering it to the child's father in Missouri.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a house on September 18 for a report of a fetus in a cooler. Haedt had been in an on-and-off romantic relationship with the man for several years.
The man told a deputy that Haedt was a "habitual liar," which caused him to doubt her when she claimed to be pregnant one to two months prior. On September 17, Haedt messaged the man, saying she had suffered a miscarriage but provided no additional details.
