Father Nicholas Colalella's Italian skills have landed him another job — coordinator for the Italian Apostolate of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
In an alternate career path, Father Colalella could have been a linguist or a full-time lecturer on ancient languages like Greek, Latin, and Aramaic.
However, Father Colalella experienced an early vocation, which led him through formation at Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception in Douglaston, the Pontifical North American College in Rome, and the Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
Currently, he serves as the parochial vicar for Our Lady of Hope Church in Middle Village, Queens, and part-time chaplain at Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, Queens.
Throughout his formation, Father Colalella pursued knowledge of other languages.
His early vocation and language skills have prepared him for his new role as coordinator for the Italian Apostolate.
