A London mother who “spun a web of lies” to cover up the death of her three-month-old daughter has been found guilty of manslaughter.
Kaylani Kalanzi died at Great Ormond Street Hospital in July 2024 after suffering catastrophic brain injuries, a broken leg and fractured ribs, having been violently shaken.
On Tuesday, Nazli Merthoca, 24, of Homerton High Street, Hackney, was cleared of murder but found guilty of manslaughter by a jury at the Old Bailey.
