The Brenham City Council will vote on accepting a bid for the city's surface water treatment plant upgrade project on Thursday.
Two bids were submitted for the rehabilitation and expansion of the plant, with the low bid from Dudley Construction, LLC of $26.97 million, and a deductive bid alternate of $1.2 million, bringing the total cost to $25.77 million.
In March, the city council authorized the issuance of up to $29.86 million in certificates of obligation for waterworks and sanitary sewer system improvements.
The council will also vote on a professional services agreement with Strand Associates for engineering services for Highway 105 main and gravity sewer improvements.
