Gen V Creator Eric Kripke Unpacks Major Twist
Eric Kripke, co-creator and executive producer of Gen V, discusses the significant twist in Episode 7 of Season 2.
The episode reveals that Dr. Thomas Godolkin, played by Ethan Slater, has been disguising himself as Godolkin University dean Cipher, played by Hamish Linklater.
Dr. Godolkin's plan was to train Marie, played by Jaz Sinclair, to become strong enough to obtain the power of healing and/or resurrection.
After tricking Marie into restoring him to his original form, Dr. Godolkin removes himself from his host, Cipher, whose real name is Doug Brightbill.
The episode ends with Cate, played by Maddie Phillips, and Jordan, played by Derek Luh and London Thor, carrying a passed-out Marie, who is completely drained from restoring Dr. Godolkin.
Kripke also addresses the timeline between the end of Gen V Season 2 and the beginning of The Boys Season 5.
